FAQ
When should I book?
As soon as you have your 20 week scan. It is best to be on my calendar ahead of time, as I only offer a limited number of spots per month.
When will my session take place?
After doing this for nearly 20 years I have found the best time to book your newborn session is before the baby is 2 weeks old. Once you are on my calendar, I "pencil in" your due date, and you just let me know as soon as baby arrives. Then we find a date that works for you within that 2 week mark. Of course exceptions are made if your baby arrives early and needs time in the hospital.
When will we get our photos?
Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within approximately 1 week. From there, you can choose your favorites. You have 4 days to view them and place an order.
What do we wear?
I love it when the tones are neutral. No bright colours, and no prints/stripes/plaids/patterns. Plain is best as that will not "compete" with the focus being on your baby. I also have a client wardrobe that Moms take full advantage of (especially when pregnant because who wants to buy a dress at that stage of pregnancy and also post-partum). I have cute knits for the babies and a few shirts for Dads and outfits for older children. Keep in mind that the studio will be VERY warm, so dress like it's summer, and bring your outfit to change into for your time in the photos.
When should I book my maternity session?
Anytime from 24 weeks till about 36 weeks is best. Basically, when the bump is nice and round, before you get too big or sore and while you are still feeling good.
What do I bring to my session?
I have everything needed for your newborn for the actual session. All you need to bring is your baby dressed in an easy to remove outfit (nothing that has to be pulled over their head), plenty of milk/formula for your baby (preferably in a bottle if your baby will take one), and a pacifier for "just in case".
